This is a quarterly magazine, focusing on research and development, and entirely devoted to the various forest and forestry sciences and technologies in the world's hot regions. Each issue deals with topical subjects in a wide range of scientific and technical disciplines. Articles are published in French, English and Spanish.

Since 1947, Bois et Forêts des Tropiques has been disseminating knowledge in more than sixty countries, together with research findings to do with forests in hot regions. The magazine publishes articles and information about the forest and forestry sector, multi-purpose land management, and the environmental approaches resulting therefrom.

All issues, with color illustrations, include a special dossier, and original articles dealing with specific topical issues. They are rounded off by economic trends or legal trends, news about the wood and timber sector and relevant international events, and a selection of books and CD-Roms.
